Free standing bridge cranes

The manufacturer has built out the NOMAD Free Standing Cranes series to include models in overall widths and heights of 50 feet and 25 feet, with 2- to 10-ton capacities. The modular cranes provide flexible solutions when production needs change or installation of a traditional overhead model is either difficult or impractical.

Base plate design allows most NOMAD systems to be installed without footers. With easily bolted assembly, the cranes can be quickly dismantled, relocated and reassembled when the need arises. The series encompasses models for one- to four-cell manufacturing systems, with safety enclosed-type runway electrification; brackets welded on runway support columns; and, field-installed conductor bars. Each system is shipped complete with mounting plates, bolts and bumpers, plus top running end-truck rated at 80 or 120 feet per minute travel speeds. Wire rope hoists provide lifting speeds of 16/2.6 fpm with trolley speeds of 65 fpm. Bridge conductor cables are pre-wired to quick disconnect plugs.

NOMAD models have radio control as standard, each system equipped with a hand-held device, including optional rechargeable models and back-up pushbutton stations. — Engineered Material Handling, Valley City, Ohio, 330/220-8600; www.emhcranes.com
